We were able to check into our room upon arrival and unpacked a bit. Then it was off to explore and get some fresh air.

We debated getting cash at the airport, but in a rush to get to our transfer service we never stopped. We did need it our first day to pay for the Taste of Prague tour as they only accepted cash. With the help of Google Maps we found an ATM a few blocks from the hotel. Bonus as there was a long line at the one we found, so it helped our confidence that it was a good one. Withdrawing the money was quick and easy - don't forget to pass on dynamic conversion. 

 

Walking down the street we found the river and took our first picture of the trip! Two blocks up we saw Charles Bridge. Of course it was already packed, but then we quickly confirmed our hotel really was only a few blocks from the Bridge.
