The tour group was amazing. A perfect size where you can actually connect with every person on the tour if you wanted to, yet large enough that we never had a meal with the same individuals. Everyone was friendly, easy to talk to, and curious about why we chose the tour and destination. We were also always asked if we wanted to join others during the free time (although we didn't join others too often).

The dynamic of the group was great. We had a family of four, many married and unmarried couples, friends and a couple solo travelers as well. We came from all corners of the US and we also had two couples from Canada.

Our Guide, Katka, was fantastic. She lives in Prague and runs her own tour company in addition to being a guide with Rick Steves. She LOVES her city and has seen so much change having personally gone through the Velvet Revolution as a child. We could have talked to her all day asking questions and she knew the answer to almost everything (Google helped on one occasion :)) Smart, smart lady. She was eager to provide recommendations for activities to do during our free time. She planned many special treats and surprises everyday and had a vested interest in getting to know about each member of the group. She made the trip, hands down. 

 

In the end, it was difficult to not get choked up during our farewell dinner and we hope to run into our new friends again.
